A global first built 350ft self-elevating platform steel-cutting in XSI.

 

On November 25th, 3:30 pm. a ceremony for the steel-cutting of two 350ft self-elevating units has been hold successfully. The two units are constructed for CDC International Logistics Co., Ltd.. Relative leader, guest and representative of companies have been invited to the ceremony.

The 350ft self-elevating units is a series of new type ships built by XSI for the first time. The units are relatively advanced multi-propose service platforms and will be used for oilfields service. The units have a length of 63.6m, width of 40m, depth of 6.2m and an overall length of 87.4m, could working at sea with a maximum of 80m depth. The units have four truss structure legs, each supported by a spud can. Main propulsion and bow thruster will be instilled to provide movement requirement in certain distance. Legs (including spud cans) have a total length about 106.68m. Accommodation area is provided on the unit, which is sufficient to support 200 people. A main crane and a supporting crane are provided to satisfy functional requirement form drilling platform.

The ship is developed by XSI, Tianjin De-sail Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd and DNV-GL together. Since the signing of the construction contract in September 16th, 2015,  after months of hard working and preparation, the early-stage working is finished within 3 months and construction has been started on schedule.
