The largest PCTC in the world constructed by XSI have been nominated for “Yearly Best Ship Prize”

 

“Hoegh Target”, the fist ship among a total of six which will be constructed by XSI for Norway Hoegh Autoliners have been nominated for “Yearly Best Ship Prize” in “European Marine Engineering Prize”, become one of a total of three ships have been nominated for that prize. The nomination means the world largest PCTC which have combined plenty of new technology and innovation have become a symbol. The nominated ships will be appraised by jury and public online voting. The prized ship will be revealed in the prizing ceremony and evening party which will be holding April 13th in Amsterdam.

“Hoegh Target” is one of the largest, most advanced ships in the world. It have a overall length of 199.9m, length of 191.8m, berth of 36.5m, design draft of 9.35m, have a total of 14 decks. The design of the ship follows efficiency, energy saving and environment friendly ideas. During designation, a lot of effort had been paid in ship optimization, to ensure it could carry more cargo as well as keep low fuel consumption and reduce impact to environment. New design could ensure 8500 cars to be parked in deck area, and be more flexible during carrying large, heavy cargos.

“Hoegh Target” will be delivered in June 2015, its sister ship “Hoegh Trigger” and “Hoegh Tracer” will also be delivered in September 2015 and March 2016. Other three ships of the same type will also be delivered in next 12 months. Furthermore, Hoegh Target have also been nominated for “Energy Efficiency Prize” of “2015 Norway international marine exhibit.”

XSI have good corporative relationship with HOGEN Autoliners, four 4900 car PCTC is contracted for HOGEN Autoliners before the contraction of 8500 PCTC. Till now, XSI have successfully delivered 21 PCTC, is in the lead of PCTC construction in China.
