In the afternoon of November 15th 2016, the 25th PCTC of XSI, the second 2100 PCTC of KINGFOUR MARINE CO.,LTD naming ceremony is hold at XSI No.2 wharf.
More than 100 leaders and guests from vehicle logistics industry assembled at XSI, witnessed this particular moment for the naming of ‘Shi Hai’. Lady sponsor SDARI experienced designer Wan Fang, Chinese logistics and purchase league execution president Ma Zengrong, Beijing Changjiu logistics CO., LTD. president Bo Shijiu, Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group Co., Ltd member of the party committee chief accountant Li Yongzhong, Beijing Changjiu logistic CO., LTD. director Li Guiping, CCS vice president Sun Feng, Zhonghang international renting CO., LTD. party committee secretary Zhao Zhuping, Huachen Baoma logistics chief inspector Tian Chaohui, Jili vehicle logistic department minister Chen Chungui, Yueda port logistics general manager Wang Jianhua, SDARI vice president Wang Shuisheng and other guests and leaders joined the ceremony.
At 14:30, the naming ceremony formally started, XSI vice manager Wu Yuhua performed the ceremony. XSI party committee secretary, president Li Zhenjun and CDC International Logistics Co., Ltd.general manager Chen Gang made speech separately. After exchanging souvenirs, Wan Fang, Bo Jiushi, Li Yongzhong, Chen Gang, Li Zhenjun and other leaders cut the ribbon for the new ship together. Then, Shanghai general labor union “Wu Yi Jin Guo” prize achiever, Shanghai ship industry “San Ba Hong Qi Shou”, Shanghai ship design institute experienced designer, Lady sponsor Wan Fang named the second 2100PCTC of Zhongpu shipping as “Shi Hai” (466B), and threw a bottle of champagne for the ship. After the ceremony, leaders and guests took pictures in front of the new ship and then visited the ship.
“Shi Hai” is the 25th ship of XSI core product PCTC, also the second ship of a total of three ships contracted with CDC International Logistics Co., Ltd. Its length overall is 141.2m, length between perpendiculars is 129.6m, module breadth is 24.4m, design draught is 6.00m, special design makes it the only type of ship which could sail both on river and ocean, could sail from Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge to Yangtze River midstream ports. A total of 9 vehicle decks are in the ship, providing an overall vehicle area for more than 18000 square meters, standard capacity for vehicles for about 2100. The ship has two stern doors, moveable decks and moveable ramps could satisfy the requirements of transporting multiply types of vehicles. The ship also equipped with variable frequency full electric bow thruster and many other advanced equipment, satisfies the requirement about economy, energy saving, environment protection and other aspects. On October 2016, the fist ship of this series, “Shi Jiang” have been recorded in international authoritative publication, Registro Italiano Navale Significant Ships 2016, it is the first time for same type ships in our country.
XSI party committee secretary, president Li Zhenjun pointed out during the speech: the successfully naming of “Shi Hai” cannot be without the support and help from ship owner, surveyor and other institutions in society. During the construction of 466B, XSI staffs have overcome a lot of difficulties, pied a lot of efforts and finally achieved the success. And at the same time, we will not be arrogant, but keep on improving our technique and management, do more research and innovation, makes it better for construction and organization of later ships. We will improve the corporation with ship owners, provide better production and service to them. And finally, may the new ship be plain sailing and make more money.
Till now, a total of 27 PCTC project have been started in XSI, 25 of which have been successfully named. XSI now is in the lead of PCTC construction in China.
