   The shipbuilding contract between Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd and the Finland company Viking Line Abp for 1 + 1 2800 Pax Cruise Ferry effected on July 3, 2017. It’s creating a pioneer that the Fujian province to undertake the construction of a cruise type ship. The signing of the shipbuilding contract will further promote the development of Fujian luxury cruise industry chain, and also make the Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry standing on the new heights of the international most advanced forefront of high-end RORO ship building field.

   XSI has never ceased to explore and pursue high-tech ships for years. XSI pay a high attention to RORO ship and cruise market in recent years, and set up professional organization and sufficient research and development funds for research, development,early stage assessment and technical preparation.

   In early 2017, XSI commissioned famous international class DNV-GL and consulting company to take a comprehensive audition on the ability of shipbuilding. The audition includes the management system, design capability, quality control, safety management, equipment, facilities and the construction technology and so on. The XSI was confirmed the ability of building the 2800 Pax Cruise Ferry.

   XSI have build 27 PCTC vessel from 2100 to 8500PCTC. The luxury passenger RORO ship building is the first time for XSI. But XSI has accumulated a rich experience on similar ship type. XSI is the first shipyard  built large unit PCTC with advanced shipbuilding technology and the pioneer spirit more than a decade ago in the domestic market. XSI rewrite the large unit PCTC shipbuilding history in China. The UK, Norway, Germany and the domestic Shipowner order the PCTC vessel successively. XSI reaches the lead position in domestic PCTC market, the comprehensive strength increased and set up its own brand and reputation in the world. XSI brand and the PCTC shipping professional manufacturing shipyard are tightly bound together in the international shipbuilding market. That's why it has also won the favor of Finland shipowner Viking Line Abp and other shipowners.

   We build the greenest ship in the world

   Reported that 2800 pax cruise ferry add the environmental protection and energy saving solution. The art design of the ship decoration in accordance with the standards of the luxury cruise ship. The vessel will sail between turku, Finland and Sweden Stockholm routes after delivery. The ship's hull line and propulsion efficiency have been optimized and tested by the famous European design company, which has reached the optimal level of similar ship type in the world. Propulsion system adopts the most advanced "LNG/ fuel" main engine, which almost put an end to all the sulfur oxide emissions, and nitric oxide emissions reach to the 80% of the current specified standard set by  International Maritime Organization. This means that the ship's route would not be subject to any restrictions on the control of nitrogen emissions. In addition, the ship's particulate emissions will be reduced by more than 90% compared to the traditional diesel-driven engines, reducing emissions by 20%-30%. The vessel is the greenest ship in the world.

   The construction of these large cruise ferry represents the development level of high-end equipment manufacturing and the comprehensive scientific and technological strength in a country or region refer to the stage of the development of international manufacturing industry. She is like a miniature mobile floating city in the sea, which involving modern industry such as shipbuilding, mechanical and electrical, construction, decoration, catering, accommodation, logistics, culture, art, leisure, entertainment, construction and consumption system and so on. The cruise ferry is 218 meters long, 13 deck, 1500 meters lane, 2800 beds for guests to choose and the crew and service personnel reach to 200 people on board, at the same time the cruise ferry can also be loaded trucks, cars and other kinds of vehicles. The ship has a rotor wind sail equipment, which provide the ferry more comprehensive performance. The rotor wind sail equipment use the magnus effect of the rotate and the wind power makes the ferry move forward more efficiently. Third party data analysis shows that under the conditions of suitable wind speed and service speed, the ship can get 25% fuel saving effect by rotating wind sail. It will be one of the fastest and best-performing large luxury cruise ferry in the world today.
